国際学科/International Studies

奈良県で生まれ育つ。小学校2年まで分校でのびのび育つ。それが影響したのか25歳以降は約30年、国際協力の現場で仕事をする。
また、国内では地域社会とその地域に住む人々の活性化に従事する。趣味はパイプオルガン演奏。
I was born and raised in Nara Prefecture, and up to the second grade I had a carefree life at a small branch school in the countryside. Due to that influence, from the age of twenty-five, I spent thirty years in the field to work in international cooperation programs.
In Japan, I am engaged in activating regional society and the people who live in those areas. My hobby is playing the pipe organ.

一生で学生であることができる貴重な時間です。高校までの生徒ではなく自ら学ぶ「学生」として、また社会人になる前に思いっきり好きなことを学び、その集大成としての卒業論文を宝として卒業して下さい。
Unlike previous education, being a university student is a special privilege for your life, since you can learn what you want. I hope that you enjoy your studies in university and that writing a graduation thesis would be your treasure.

・最新の調査手法を駆使して社会調査を行っている。
・アラビア語を学ぶことで、アラブ世界の理解、またその言葉の背後にある概念を拡大することをめざしている。
・輪読で文献の精読・速読をめざす。
In this seminar we do the following:
Make full use of the latest survey methodologies to conduct social surveys.
Study the Arabic language in order to understand the Arabic world and zoom in on the ideas that are the foundation of that language.
