好きなものを好きと言うのが恥ずかしくて、嫌いと言うことが多い子供でした。もう、完全におじさんですが、自分の中に子供が残っていることを感じます。みんなが自分に徹底的にこだわることで、自分から自由に生きることができると良いなと思っています。慣れない状況で、自分があたふたするのを見るのが好きです。
As a child I was too shy to say what I liked, so I said that I disliked something even though I actually liked it. I am now fully in middle age, but I feel that child remains inside me. I think it is fine for each of us to live freely and be completely true to ourselves. I like to see myself rushing about when confronted by unfamiliar circumstances.

自分が納得できないことに徹底的にこだわってください。納得できないのはどうしてなのか、どうしてそうなったのか、どうしたらそれを変えることができるのか、一緒に考えましょう。
Please focus on those things that you cannot accept. Let’s think together about why you cannot accept something, why you have come to feel that way, and how you can change that which you do not accept.

それぞれが自分のこだわることについて、語り、話し合い、一緒に考え、そのこだわりがみんなに分かってもらえないこと、そして、完全に分かってもらえないわけでもないことを学ぶゼミです。小説、詩、戯曲、新聞記事、映画、精神分析から社会学、政治学の論文までを素材として扱い、熱く語り合います。
In this seminar, through discussions and presentations we think together about our own particularities. We learn why others cannot understand them, as well as how that non-understanding is never absolute. For the class materials, we use novels, poetry, drama, newspaper articles, movies, and academic papers on topics ranging from psychological analyses to sociology and politics, and we fervently discuss them.

校外実習の紹介

どのようにしたら誰も排除しない社会をつくっていくことができるのかを、排除された人の側から考えます。欧州、特にフランスから北米、東アジアまで関心をもっています。
We think about how to create a society that does not exclude anyone by thinking about this topic from the perspective of people who are excluded. We are interested in Europe (particularly France), North America, and East Asia.
