履歴 /Background	ニューヨーク州立大学バッファロー校大学院博士課程修了(Ph.D.取得）後、広島女学院大学教授等を経て現職。2004年度には客員研究員としてプリンストン大学アフリカン・アメリカン・スタディーズに所属。 I received a Ph.D. in English from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1995. テーマ：「多文化主義の視点から読み解くアメリカ文化」
アメリカの歴史を辿りながら、「建国の父」の系譜を見直し、人種やジェンダー、宗教、階級、環境等の視点からアメリカの多文化主義について考察します。
Theme: American Multiculturalism
While going back through American history, we revise our views of the genealogy of the “father of the nation,” and we examine American multiculturalism from the perspectives of race, gener, religion, social class, the environment, etc.

アフリカ系アメリカ人女性として初めてノーベル文学賞を受賞したトニ・モリスンに関する研究は、私にとってのライフワークの一つです。そのほか、社会的弱者とされるマイノリティー・グループ、ことにアフリカ系アメリカ人や女性の視点から権威主義に対抗する文化表象の研究にも取り組んでいます。
My main author is Toni Morrison (1931-2019) who received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1993 as the first African-American woman. My fields of interest include Ethnic, Cultural, and Gender Studies.
