軍備管理・軍縮、批判的安全保障研究、紛争研究、アフリカ政治研究などを専門にしています。軍備管理の国際会議に参加したり、アフリカでフィールドワークをしたりしています。
My research interests cover arms control and disarmament, critical security studies, conflict studies and African politics. I attend international conferences on arms control and conduct fieldwork in Africa.

1990年代以降、開発に関する政策論議や研究と平和・安全保障に関する政策論議や研究、さらに軍縮・軍備管理に関する政策論議や研究が融合し、境界が曖昧になる現象が生じています。こうした状況の中で、人道や「人間の安全保障」の視点に基づくとされる「人道的軍縮」または「人道的軍備管理」と呼ばれる取り組みが進みました。
私のゼミでは、こうした動向に関する基礎的な知識を身につけ、それを分析したり批判的に考察したりできたらと思っています。
