Congratulations to MGU Millennium Fellows 2026!
We are excited to share that 10 students from the Faculty of International Studies have been selected for the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2026, a leadership development program offered by the United Nations Academic Impact and Millennium Campus Network. This marks the second time that Meiji Gakuin University students have been selected for the Millennium Fellowship, following the university’s first cohort in 2024.
More than 76,000 applicants from 6,000 campuses across 174 countries applied for the 2026 Fellowship. Meiji Gakuin University is among the 330 campuses selected – just over 5% of all participating campuses- and the only university from Japan to host Millennium Fellows this year. Our students will embark on this new challenge as part of a global network of 5,500 students from universities across 60 countries working to advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Over the next three months, they will plan and implement an independent social impact project on Yokohama campus.

Each year, students from campuses around the world are selected to develop and implement social impact projects that address critical issues related to the SDGs.
