[Online Seminar] Dr. Enomoto | Palestine, Israel and “Humanitarian Disarmament” In Light of the Case Occurring in the Campaign Against Killer Robots

Over the past few decades, NGO campaigns for “humanitarian disarmament” have been plagued by Western-centric and racist structures, which this seminar will focus on. It also examines the discourse and practices (including silence and inactions) of the “humanitarian disarmament” campaigns that may have contributed to, rather than prevented, the wars and horrors currently taking place in Russia/Ukraine and Palestine/Israel. It will then consider the prospects of the disarmament sector in light of the latest case that has been occurring in the Campaign Against Killer Robots.
