Welcome to the Faculty of International Studies (FIS), Meiji Gakuin University (MGU)!
We have launched a special website for new students to provide you with information about the entrance ceremony, post-admission schedules, and other essential details. Important information from various departments is available on the site. To ensure you have not missed any applications or events, please review the information carefully and do not hesitate to contact the relevant department if you have any uncertainties or concerns.

The following information on the entrance ceremony and events hosted by the Faculty of International Studies comes from the content posted on the “To all freshers/transfer students in 2025” website. For details, please check the website for the freshers or the transfer students.
Meiji Gakuin University-hosted Event
■ Entrance Ceremony for the Faculty of International Studies
Date: 12:30 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2024
Location: Chapel in Yokohama Campus

Faculty of International Studies-hosted Events
■ English Placement Test [For New and Transfer Students]
Date: 9:00 a.m., Friday, March 21, 2025 *In the afternoon, there will be an orientation held by the Yokohama Academic Affairs Office.
Location: Yokohama Campus, Building 7
-Department of Global and Transcultural Studies: Room 711, 1st Floor, Building 7
-Department of International Studies: Room 720, 2nd Floor, Building 7
Items to Bring: Admission Notice (with the 10-digit Admission Procedure Number), Writing utensils (HB to B pencils or mechanical pencils, erasers) *Note: Friction pens and ballpoint pens are not allowed.

If you are unable to attend the English Placement Test, please notify the Faculty of International Studies office by Thursday, March 20, 2025, via email with the following information:(1) Name, (2) 10-digit Admission Procedure Number, (3) Department, (4) Reason for absence. The Faculty will provide details regarding a make-up test.

Content: A networking event for all new students of the Faculty of International Studies. Faculty members will also participate!
