On October 27th, The Faculty of International Studies hosted a group of foreign educators, business people and students who are visiting Japan for the 2013 International Youth Conference sponsored by the Japanese government’s Cabinet Office. The twenty participants came from a diverse range of counties in Europe, Central and South America, the Caribbean region, and south Asia. Dean Takeo Shigeki and the event organizer Prof. Tanaka Keiko greeted the guests; the visitors then participated in a lecture-discussion session with Meiji Gakuin students that examined the education of global leaders. This was followed by a luncheon and a concluding campus tour. Both the visitors and the students appreciated the opportunity to discuss ways for enhancing multi-cultural literacy.
